What Makes Our Windsocks
Different?
If you are shopping online for windsocks, you have
probably seen a variety of
designs from different companies. There is something
different about our wind socks. They are a little more special than
your run-of-the-mill "made in China" decorative flag or mass produced
windsock.
Every aerial design you will find on this web site is created
by Artists - from the design concept to the sewing done right in our
lakeside Melrose, Florida studio. We have over 20 years of
experience making windsocks. There is a new batch of designs every
season, so you can rest assured you will receive a truly unique work of
aerial art.
When you look at one of our windsocks in real life, you
can see and feel the absolute quality. Our sturdy windsocks will last for many
seasons whipping around in the wind outside. Every windsock is
delightfully unique, from the actual stitching to the brilliant, shining
parachute rip-stop nylon fabric used in the designs. Browse our Windsocks
Gallery and see for yourself.
Art for the Outdoors
Tethered in the sun, our windsocks
are soft sculptured art forms. They seem to glow by their own inner light
and will put a shimmering hint of color into any landscape or room - deck,
porch, boat or yard.
Catching a little breath of breeze
or billowing out in heavy winds, our wind socks stand uniquely as a celebration
of light, color and motion. By adding one of our wind socks,
windspinners, wind flowers or decorative flags to your environment today,
you will enjoy the
refreshing beauty of Art for the Outdoors. Our wind art creations make
wonderful gift ideas, and are loved by children and adults
alike.
History of Windsocks
Throughout the ages, windsocks have been
flown as a symbol of good luck and longevity. Originating in China
and Japan, wind socks were made of fine silk or paper and usually found in the
shapes of fish. These time honored traditions of quality and artistry
are maintained to the present day by our unique and varied motifs, both
ancient and modern, and by our use of the finest material: rip stop
nylon. This tough urethane-coated material is the same space-age
fabric used in hot air balloons and modern parachutes.
